Plow & Hearth Replatform & Theme Build
Plow & Hearth has sold products for the home, hearth, yard, and garden through catalogs, stores, and the web since 1980. I built the Shopify theme that carried its web store from SAP Hybris to Shopify Plus, bringing a traditional, catalog-rich shopping experience onto a modern commerce platform.

The Brand
Plow & Hearth opened as a country store in Madison, Virginia, and grew into a multi-channel retailer of furniture, rugs and doormats, fireplace and hearth products, lighting, kitchenware, outdoor living, and seasonal décor. It has been part of Evergreen Enterprises since 2010. The store has to serve a deep catalog and a loyal customer base without losing the warm, traditional character the brand is known for.

The Replatform
The store moved from SAP Hybris to Shopify Plus, a platform built around day-to-day merchandising and a hosted checkout. My part was the front end: a custom Shopify theme, built in Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS on top of the Enterprise theme, that carries the storefront experience over to the new platform. It shares a component foundation with its sister storefronts, My Evergreen and Team Sports America, while keeping Plow & Hearth's own look: a deep green and cream palette, serif headlines, and a catalog-style layout.

Collection pages pair faceted filtering with product cards that carry price, badges, and ratings.
What It Runs On
The live storefront runs alongside the services a retailer this size relies on: search and merchandising, ratings and reviews, the Plow Perks loyalty program, performance optimization, digital catalogs, and marketing and analytics tooling. The search integration has its own write-up.

Product pages bring size options, availability messaging, and Shop Pay installments together.
